LMHA implements the Agency’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
TOLEDO, March 23, 2020: Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority’s (LMHA) mission is to “create and maintain sustainable, affordable housing opportunities, provide pathways to a better quality of life, and empower vibrant communities.” To accomplish this mission, LMHA must ensure its operations are performed efficiently with minimal disruption—especially during an emergency.
On March,13, 2020, LMHA notified the public about the implementation of the Agency’s three-phased Action Plan. The purpose of the Action Plan is to provide continued education about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and to perform active prevention measures in the best interest of LMHA’s employees and clients—including public housing residents and other program participants. Furthermore, the Action Plan enforces actions that avoid COVID-19 from spreading and considers the implementation of a strong and effective Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
The BCP provides planning and program guidance to employees to ensure the organization can conduct its essential functions and provide services to LMHA clients—including public housing residents and other program participants during this emergency.
“Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority will maintain normal operations to the extent permissible by the circumstances. We are facing serious challenges from this global pandemic. This unprecedented situation is putting us to the test and requires the best from all of us. This is a moment of uncertainty. I understand the stress and anxiety many may feel. However, I have great faith in my staff and the community at large. We will get through this together.”
“The implementation of our Business Continuity Plan helps maintain the health and safety of our staff. It provides a mechanism that—to the very least—adds to the odds of preventing the virus from spreading while our core operations remain intact. I am authorizing the transition of our employees to telework and staggered working options, further protecting the well-being of our staff and loved ones, our clients and communities.” stated LMHA’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Joaquin Cintrón Vega.
To ensure continued contact with our clients, Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority has once again published contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses for Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers and Resident Services Coordinators to our clients and communities.
LMHA’s Public Housing Residents can report emergency work orders to the following number: (419) 930-1368.
