- Positioning additional hand sanitizer stations throughout the Museum;
- Keeping restrooms stocked with additional hand soap and paper towels;
- Increasing efforts to clean and disinfect “high-touch” surfaces and heavily trafficked spaces.

Public Programs
In addition to the items listed above, TMA is taking increased action based on the recent recommendations of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. Public Programs The following public programs that are scheduled through March 31 will be postponed, based on the Governor’s recommendation to cancel all large gatherings of more than 100 people:
- Sunday, March 15: Great Performances: Beethoven Piano Sonata Cycle;
- Thursday, March 26: ProMedica Winter Concert Series: Birds of Chicago with Oliver Hazard;
- Friday, March 27: AIA-Toledo Society Lecture: Elizabeth Bolman, “The White Monastery Federation: Upper Egypt and the Early Byzantine World;”
- Saturday, March 28: Art House Film: Loving Vincent;
- Sunday, March 29: Great Performances: University of Toledo Outstanding Student Recital.
Updated information about these programs will be shared once new dates have been confirmed. Tickets for any of the above events will be refunded in full. Ticket purchases made using a credit card will be refunded automatically. Those who paid in cash are encouraged to call (419) 255-8000 ext. 7448 in regards to their refund.
The Family Center: As a preventative measure, effective Thursday, March 12, the Museum will also close The Family Center through March 31. In addition to the temporary closure of The Family Center, the hands-on activities located in the Community Gallery and the Museum galleries will be taken off view.
The health and safety of its visitors, staff and volunteers is of the highest importance to the Toledo Museum of Art: The spread of this respiratory disease is a rapidly evolving situation and as more information is released about this emerging infectious disease, the Museum will respond and provide updates accordingly. Please note that the above guidelines are subject to change or be extended as deemed necessary by Museum leadership.
• To help mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID - 19), the Museum will be closed to the public March 17 through Friday, April 3.
