According to Adonis Flores of Michigan United, “Some unscrupulous “notaries” and scam artists are ready to take advantage of you and steal your money. There are no applications yet. Do not pay anyone any money yet.
“Instead, come to one of our upcoming Info Sessions to get reliable and accurate information. Remember that this is a temporary solution. Our efforts continue to get CIR a permanent solution that includes all immigrants.”
Editor’s Note: Michigan United is “a broad statewide coalition working to reform the U.S. broken immigration system, advance housing justice, protect the rights of low-wage workers, and develop leadership.” More information can be found at the Michigan United’s website: www.miunited.org
