Give blood this Thanksgiving weekend

Rudy’s Hot Dogs will join the American Red Cross to hold The Great Turkey Escape this Friday, November 28, 2014 and Saturday, November 29 at the Toledo Blood Donor Center at 3510 Executive Parkway in Toledo.  Anyone who comes to give blood during The Great Turkey Escape can have a Rudy’s Hot Dog, while supplies last.

Donor Center Hours:

Friday, November 28, 2014 – 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday, November 29, 2014 – 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

For many people, Thanksgiving is a time-honored tradition of giving thanks with friends and relatives. As an extra “thank you” to start the giving season and to encourage donations, the American Red Cross will offer presenting blood and platelet donors a Red Cross potholder stuffed with unique recipes from celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Rocco DiSpirito, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Mike Isabella from Nov. 26 through Nov. 30, while supplies last.

Donors of all blood types, particularly O negative, A negative and B negative, and platelet donors are urged to schedule an appointment.
