Nov. 18, 2014: The Lucas County Commissioners introduced a resolution in support of the Welcome Toledo-Lucas County Initiative, which works to promote Toledo-Lucas County as a welcoming and immigrant-friendly community. The Welcome Toledo-Lucas County Initiative was established in 2014 in partnership with the Lucas County Land Bank, City of Toledo Board of Community Relations, Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, Toledo LISC, and Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE) and is currently housed in the Board of Lucas County Commissioners. The resolution was followed by an International Thanksgiving Potluck held at the Trinity Episcopal Church from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The resolution was discussed at the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center on Nov. 13^th with guests and participants savoring a nice bowl of chili, provided gratis by the Center.
