Letter to the Editor,
On Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, Toledo School of the Arts (TSA) will hold its second annual Studio Scramble at 7:00 pm. The event was an incredible success last year, with 300 visitors! Some of that crowd included potential new students and their families, and with applications opening months earlier this year, we anticipate an even bigger crowd!
Studio Scramble is an arts open house, giving visitors a unique look at our extensive, creative curriculum by allowing them to rotate studios every twenty minutes. The result is each visitor having a different variety of performance and activity experiences across our Creative Writing, Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts major programs.
We’d love for the public to join in the fun. For example, our Recording Technology teacher sent me this description:
Visit TSA’s new Recording Studio in Room 204 to see how sound can be manipulated and visualized in the 21st century. Recording Arts instructor Walt McKeever and his students will be in studio to record patrons as they pass through the area. Hear Autotune, lush reverb sounds or try your hand at a verse of karaoke on a classic Beatles tune.
I’m very excited about the range of arts experiences available to the public that evening to this dynamic, free event.
Sincerely,
Lindsay Williams
