Grant informational meetings to be held in three Northwest Ohio locations
Catholic Charities staff will conduct informational meetings in Norwalk, Toledo, and Mansfield OH for non-profit organizations interested in applying for local Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) grants.
The grants are for organizations that work to empower people who are living at low-income levels to break the cycle of poverty through community or economic development. Applicants do not need to be affiliated with the Catholic Church but must be in compliance with Catholic moral and social teachings.
At the meetings, Catholic Charities will help groups learn how to submit an effective application, which will be available in January. Meetings will be hosted at the following times and locations:
• Norwalk: Friday, Oc. 24, 2014, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main St., Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Registration requested by noon on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
• Toledo: Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Diocese of Toledo’s Catholic Center, 1933 Spielbusch Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43604. Registration requested by noon on Monday, Nov. 3.
• Mansfield: Wednesday, Nov. 19, from noon to 1:30 p.m., during the Housing and Homeless Coalition meeting at Richland County Children Services, 731 Scholl Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44907. Registration requested by noon on Monday, Nov. 17.
