October 9 & 10: El Centro in collaboration with the Lorain County Board of Mental Health and The Nord Family Foundation will be offering a Free mental health first aide training at El Centro 2800 Pearl Ave., Lorain, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Participant will learn signs and symptoms of Mental Illness, local resource, and who to call and what to do in a crisis situation. October 16: El Centro Food Pantry – In collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio – from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at El Centro. Families are given one box of food on a first come first served basis-FREE- Photo ID required. (This event occurs every third Thursday of each month at the same time).
