Voter Information Forum at Kent Branch Library
The Kent Branch Library and the Art Tatum African American Resource Center (aka The Tatum Center) are hosting an important FREE voter information forum titled Turn Up! Turn Out!, scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at the Kent Branch, 3101 Collingwood Blvd.
Panelists include:
• Yvonne Harper, Executive Director, Lucas County Democratic Party;
• Judge Timothy C. Kuhlman, Toledo Municipal Court;
• Willianne Moore, NAACP State Conference District 1 Coordinator & State Education Chair;
• Jan K. M. Scotland, Agent/Owner of Scotland State Farm Insurance.
In advance of the November 2014 general election, the Tatum Center will host community members and local officials for a lively, informative panel discussion. The forum, moderated by University of Toledo Law professor Ben Davis, will focus on information designed to encourage greater community participation in this next election, which coincides with the 50th anniversaries of Freedom Summer and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Light refreshments will be served. This program is FREE and open to the public.
