Dear friends of El Centro,

Lorain: El Centro’s Board and staff will be hosting El Centro’s 2014 Annual Block Party.  This community party is part of many events organized by our agency to celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month.  Five years ago we started with a simple family oriented event to thank our community for there support of our agency. 

Over the last few years this event has become one of the most popular events in this community.  Last year we had approximately 400 people in attendance with the majority of them being children. 
 

This year we are adding a new component to the celebration a health fair.  The health fair will provide resident an opportunity to check their health through free screenings.  This is possible thanks to the collaboration of EMH and many other partners. 

We would like to extend an invitation to your organization to be part of this wonderful event.  This years Block Party will be on Friday September 26, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and will take place on Pearl Avenue between 28^th and 29^th street.  The Health Fair will run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If you would like to have a booth to promote your organization for this event please fill out the attached application and return it no later than Friday September 12, 2014.  El Centro will provide organizations with 1 table and 2 chairs.  Organizations can bring there own table cover and canopy if you desire.  This event is completely free to the community so we are asking participating organizations to due one of the following. 

·         Provide a kid activity (such as ball tossing, mini golf, face painting, clown, etc. etc.) in addition to providing candy and prizes for the kids.

·         Or make a donation of $100 that will go towards inflatable and other kid activities.

·         Event Sponsorship $500.
