STORY TIMES: Have a storybook July at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library. Toddler Story Time, for 2 through 5-year-olds with a caregiver, is Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Sittin’ and Scootin’ story time for babies from birth to 23 months old is Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Preschool Story Time, for 3 through 5-year-olds, is Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. At Preschool Story Time on July 9, 2014, Robin Echols Cooper will be a special guest presenter. Her interactive program will include storytelling, music, puppetry and movement. Families with children of all ages are invited to this educational and fun program. EXPLORERS: Explore something new each week at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library. Children entering first through fifth grade are invited for stories, music, crafts and more. The Explorers program is Mondays through July at 2 p.m. On July 14, the Bubble Lady will be at Explorers to dazzle families with children of all ages. She’ll make bubbles multiply and do tricks, and even put a child in a bubble! WONDERS OF ELECTRICITY: Power up and learn the basics of the science of electricity at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library. Summer Science on Thursday, July 10 at 2 p.m. welcomes Barry Kaufman for Wonders of Electricity. Fourth through sixth-graders will watch electrical feats from 1.5 volts to 15,000 volts in this exciting show. Kids will learn how to be safe users of electric power. This program is provided by a grant from The Stocker Foundation.
