June 27, 2014: 8 of the final 16 are from the “New World” (the Américas): Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay, and United States. 7 are Latino.

6 of the final 16 are from the “Old World” (Europe): Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands (Holland), and Switzerland.
 

2 of the final 16 are from Africa: Nigeria and Algeria. None from Australia or Asia.

The Final 8

June 30, 2014: Américas: Brazil, Colombia, and Costa Rica are in, with the possibility of Argentina and the United States to be included at press time.

Europe: Netherlands (Holland), France, and Germany are in, with the possibility of Belgium and Switzerland to be included at press time. Spain, Portugal, Italy, England, and Greece are out.

None from Australia, Asia, or Africa.
