Toledo city pools opened June 21st
Toledo city pools will open tomorrow at noon heralding the official arrival of summer. Willys Pool, Roosevelt Pool, Wilson Pool, Navarre Pool, and Pickford Pool along with the Savage Splash Pad will open at noon tomorrow, June 21st which is the Summer Solstice for 2014. Sunlight will be possible for 15 hours, 12 minutes and 13 seconds tomorrow, making it the day with the longest possible sunshine for 2014.
Two of the pools are experiencing slight issues that could delay their opening tomorrow so they are listed below as tentative. Updates will be provided to the media once those two pools are set to open.
Regular hours and admission for the 2013 pool season is on the City of Toledo website (toledo.oh.gov) and will be as follows:
