Letter to the Editor
Dear Friend of El Centro,
On behalf of El Centro’s Board and staff I would like to extend you and invitation for El Centro’s Open House, June 25, 2014. El Centro has been selected as this year’s International Festival spotlight Organization.
We would like to welcome our community to an open house on Wednesday June 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please join us and tour our facility while learning about all the services that we provide.
El Centro’s Youth group, C.A.S.A., which stands for Cultural Aprendizaje Servicios en Accion (Culture Learning Services in Action) will be unveiling a mural at 10:00 a.m. This group is a group sponsored by the National Council of La Raza and State Farm. The goal is to empower young Latinos ages 12 -14 through service learning projects and to gain knowledge on culture aspects of their backgrounds and the world around them. Guests will also be able to network and socialize in our second floor hall and enjoy light refreshment.
