May 7 – El Centro in collaboration with Ohio Means Jobs, and The United Way of Greater Lorain County will be hosting a Job Fair from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at El Centro 2800 Pearl Ave. Lorain, Ohio.  The Job Fair is being offered in the afternoon to provide an opportunity to residents currently employed but looking for better job opportunities as well as those who are currently unemployed.   

May 15 – El Centro Food Pantry – In collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio – from 12-3-pm at El Centro 2800 Pearl Ave. Lorain, Ohio 44055.  Families are given one box of food on a first come first served basis-FREE- Photo ID required.  (This event occurs every third Thursday of each month at the same time)

May 17– Leadership Lorain County, The United Way of Greater Lorain County, and El Centro are partnering for the Day of Caring starting at 8:30 a.m. volunteers will meet at El Centro’s parking lot to complete several beautification project through Pearl Avenue.  Register by right clicking the link below and selecting open hyperlink.  Registration ends May 9^th.

Other Events: French Creek YMCA will be hosting a Summer Camp in South Lorain at El Centro this summer.  Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning June 9^th and ending August 15^th.  Limited space available and registration ends May 15.  County vouchers accepted.  Pool passes are being provided by El Centro.  For more information call (440) 277-8235.
