HAY ALGO NUEVO PARA LOS ELECTORES DEL CONDADO DE CUYAHOGA
QUE DEPOSITAN SUS PAPELETAS POR CORREO
La Junta Electoral del Condado de Cuyahoga ha comenzado a incluir con las papeletas que se envían a los electores para la Elección Primaria del 6 de mayo una etiqueta adhesiva para la solapa que dice: “I Voted by Mail” (Voté por Correo). La etiqueta adhesiva redonda roja, blanca y azul permitirá a los electores mostrar a todo el mundo que han cumplido con su deber cívico de depositar una papeleta.
Las personas que voten el Día de la Elección reciben una etiqueta que dice: “I Voted Today” (Hoy voté) para hacer saber a todos que votaron y para animar a los demás a que también voten. “Muchas personas que han realizado el Voto por Correo nos han dicho que también les gustaría recibir una etiqueta adhesiva”, comentó Pat McDonald, Director de la Junta Electoral del Condado de Cuyahoga. “Creo que es una señal muy positiva que las personas le den tanto valor a proclamar que han ejercido su derecho al voto. Me siento orgulloso de anunciar que hemos respondido a esta necesidad enviando a nuestros electores del Voto por Correo su propia etiqueta adhesiva especial para que puedan animar a los demás a hacer lo mismo”, comentó McDonald.
Todavía hay tiempo para solicitar una papeleta del Voto por Correo para esta elección. Sin embargo, se ruega a los electores que soliciten sus papeletas lo antes posible para poder tener tiempo suficiente para votar y devolver sus papeletas. Las solicitudes de la papeleta del Voto por Correo deben recibirse en la Junta Electoral el 3 de mayo o antes.

THERE IS SOMETHING NEW FOR CUYAHOGA COUNTY VOTERS WHO CAST THEIR BALLOTS BY MAIL
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has begun including an “I Voted by Mail” lapel sticker with ballots that are sent to voters for the May 6th, 2014 Primary Election. The round red, white, and blue sticker will allow voters to show everyone that they have done their civic duty by casting a ballot.
People who vote on Election Day receive an “I Voted Today” sticker to let everyone know that they voted, and to encourage others to vote as well. “A lot of people who Vote by Mail have expressed to us that they would like a sticker too,” said Pat McDonald, Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
“I think it is a very positive sign that people place such a high value on proclaiming that they have exercised their right to vote. I am proud to announce that we have responded to this need by giving our Vote by Mail voters a special sticker of their own so they can encourage others to do the same,” said McDonald.
There is still time to request a Vote by Mail ballot for this election. However, voters are asked to request their ballot as soon as possible to allow themselves plenty of time to vote and return their ballot. Vote by Mail ballot requests must be received by the Board of Elections on, or before May 3rd, 2014.
