The Rib-Off closes out the summer of its thirty-first year with BBQ alongside performances by War and Dennis DeYoung, a founding member of the band STYX.
“We are excited to present the Rib-Off again,” says Mike Mori, director of sales for The Blade and coordinator of the event. “This is one of the highlights of the summer in Northwest Ohio, and we’re proud to be able to bring it to our readers.”
Nothing goes better with savory BBQ than a rocking band. Thursday night will showcase American funk band, War; Friday features Detroit native, rock legend Ted Nugent; and Saturday’s highlight will be Dennis DeYoung and the Music of STYX.
Tickets went on sale April 12, 2014. Seating for all concerts is limited, so pre-purchasing Rib-Off tickets is advised. Tickets for War are $6 in advance and $10 at the gate. VIP Seating Tickets for War are $22.50 in advance. Tickets for Ted Nugent are $8 in advance and $12 at the gate. VIP Seating Tickets for Nugent are $29.50 in advance. Tickets for Dennis DeYoung and the Music of STYX are $7 in advance and $10 at the gate. VIP Seating Tickets for DeYoung are $25.00 in advance.

Hours for the Rib-Off are Thursday, August 7, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday, August 8, noon to 11 p.m.; Saturday, August 9, noon to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, August 10, noon to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday admission is free until 3:00 pm. Sunday admission is free all day, and is sponsored by Cedar Creek Church, which will also provide the music for the day.
