9th Annual Fostoria Latino Festival set for August 23

The 9th Annual Fostoria Latino Festival will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014. The festival opens at 2 p.m. in downtown Fostoria and will continue until 12 a.m. Admission is free.

First held in 2006 to recognize and celebrate the Fostoria area's Latino culture, this year's event will feature a wide array of activities for the entire family. Included in the festivities are performances by live Latino bands, food vendors, amusement rides, lots of activities and games for children, Chalupa (Mexican bingo). A dance for children will also be held.

The Fuego band featuring electrifying vocalist Yvonne Ramos will be one of the main attractions at this year’s event. Additional bands and entertainers are still needed for the festival. Contact musical director Ed Galán at 419-346-4627 for booking and more information.
