Opera Returns to Adrian
After an over 10 year hiatus, Opera returns this winter to Adrian. The new event, Opera UpTown made its début September, 2013, and will be back for a sixth performance April 9, 2014 (last Performance this Season).
The monthly event is held at Hooligan’s Grill, 8:00 PM. The mission of Opera UpTown is to promote student singers from Adrian College and Siena Heights University and have fun!
Opera UpTown performers and audience members are able to let their hair down, dress casually and try out something new. Come join Adrian College and Siena Heights University singers at a great downtown location. Bring your friends, grab a table and enjoy!
Opera UpTown has been committed to a yearlong term of performances. Each month (one performance per month) has been themed differently, featured different singers, and provided a unique and exciting experience.
The theme for April’s Opera UpTown will be STURM UND DRANG.
Working together for the first time, the vocal instructors from Siena Heights University and Adrian College have coordinated the talent and musical selections. The singers will be Siena Heights University and Adrian College Students who are in vocal studies programs. Our Accompanist April 9th is Kerwin Leader of Blissfield.
