Pirates, Renegades and other Scoundrels of the Maumee Valley

The Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor announces that it will present a free public history program about some of the colorful characters in regional history on March 19, 2014, at 7pm at Oberhaus Park, in Napoleon, Ohio.

The public is invited to attend this new Layers of History presentation, by MVHC executive director Angie Quinn, for a program that will be enjoyed by the entire family. Using storytelling, historical photos and group participation, attendees will gain a new appreciation for the lives and exploits of our earliest residents in the valley. The Girty Brothers, horse thieves, a pirate, and some of the men in cahoots with John Dillinger will be included.

This program is made possible in part by the Ohio Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor is a non-profit organization serving all of Northwest Ohio and portions of Northeast Indiana and Southeast Lower Michigan.

Contact Angie Quinn, 260-450-2057 for more information.
