Available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6 – 8:30 p.m. through Dec. 18, the Festive Feast features a top round carving station, green salad, buttered green beans, pasta primavera, mashed potatoes and assorted breads, plus a decadent dessert of cheesecake drizzled in chocolate syrup, then dusted with pirouette wafers and candy cane sprinkles. Children’s menu options are available by advance request. Assorted beverages are provided (including the Zoo’s famous hot chocolate), and holiday spirits are available to adults for an extra charge.
The Festive Feast includes a visit from Ellie the Elf, story time with Mrs. Claus, family-friendly crafts, an encounter with a Zoo animal, the choice of a photo with Santa or in the giant snow globe, and Lights Before Christmas admission after 5 p.m.
This year, in addition to over a million lights and 200+ illuminated animal images, plus carolers and ice-carving on selected evenings, Lights visitors are enjoying the new outdoor ice skating rink, free with regular Zoo admission; visitors can bring their own skates or rent skates for a small fee. Back by visitor demand is last year’s featured attraction, Snow Globe Live, inviting visitors to step inside the winter fun of a bigger-than-life snow globe. Both these attractions are sponsored by Taylor Automotive Family.
Advance reservations and payment are required for the Festive Feast; walk-ins are allowed only if space is available. The cost is $35 for adults and $25 for children ages 2 – 11. For more information, visit toledozoo.org or call 419.385.5721, ext. 6001.
