WORD FOR BEGINNERS: Learn to create professional-looking documents with ease at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library. Come to Word for Beginners on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at 3 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of typing and saving documents using the 2007 edition of Microsoft Word. Learn ways to format and print documents, and copy and paste techniques. Participants need to be comfortable using a mouse to attend this class. EXCEL FOR BEGINNERS: Learn Excel basics at Lorain Public Library System’s South Lorain Branch. Excel for Beginners is Friday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to input data into a spreadsheet workbook using Microsoft Office Excel 2007. The class will also learn how to compose simple spreadsheet formulas, as well as how to go about choosing layout and print format options. A limited amount of hands-on practice time will be available. You must be comfortable using a mouse if you would like to attend this class.
