It’s Raining Bears at the Walleye on Nov. 23

The Toledo Walleye are asking fans to help make it rain bears on the ice at the Saturday, November 23, 2013 game.  Hundreds of bears will come flying over the glass after the Walleye score their goal.  The annual Teddy Bear Toss, presented by BCSN, is a favorite promotion and this season we hope to smash the record set of 700 bears hitting the ice last year.

Fans are encouraged to bring as many new stuffed animals as they would like.  Bears will also be available for purchase in the Swamp Shop souvenir store.  All stuffed animals will be donated to Lucas County Children Services and the Toledo Police and Fire Departments.  The bears are used to provide comfort to children being helped by LCCS and the two rescue departments.

The Toledo Walleye face the Evansville IceMen at 7:15 on Nov. 23.  Come early to support the Toledo Police and Fire Departments as they hit the ice for the third annual “Battle of the Badges” game.  Game time is at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at a special rate for both games.  Plus a portion of each ticket sold will benefit Police and Fire Charities.  Get your tickets by calling 419-725-WALL or online at www.toledowalleye.com.

The Toledo Walleye play all of their home games at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo.  You can catch every Walleye hockey game live on Fox Sports radio 1230 and all 36 home games live on BCSN.
