El Centro, based in Lorain, Ohio, hosts its 39^th Gala

Victor Leandry, executive director of El Centro [El Centro de Servicios Sociales, Inc.], is grateful for the community support relative to El Centro and many of its activities. Margarita Quiñones, its Board President, said that: “On December 14, 2011…we moved into our new facility….Together we will look ahead to map out how El Centro can best address the opportunities and challenges we will face now and in the future.”
 

Director Leandry thanked the title sponsor, Columbia Gas of Ohio, and the many other sponsors and supporters. The event—whose theme was Fiesta Mexicana—was held November 9, 2013 at DeLuca’s Place in the Park, with entertainment by folkloric dance group Alma de México (based in Lorain), Jacob Estrada and Salvador Torres and Los Mariachis Locos (based in Toledo and Detroit), DJ Flaco Flash, Son Gitano, Manuel Delpin y más. The magnificent event closed with a silent auction.
