Kim Sánchez: Young filmmakers raising money to fund their short film

Local artists are preparing for the production of short film 24 By Foot, a poignant story about one man’s journey across the Midwest and his encounter with three strangers that join his pursuit for a better life.

The short film will be recorded in Toledo, Ohio this November. Kim Sánchez, director and producer, is a senior completing her B.A. in Film/Video at the University of Toledo and has featured her work in film festivals such the National Film Festival for Talented Youth in Seattle, WA and the Tree City Film Festival in Sylvania, OH. This will be her largest collaborative project yet, featuring the work of writer, Jantzen Ridenour, and cinematographer, David Navarre.

On October 11th the crew launched a Kickstarter fundraising campaign and need to reach a $1,000 goal before October 24th, 2013 to proceed with their production. The crew is calling upon all supporters of local film to become backers and help make their dream a reality!

Contributions are being accepted now. To make a donation, search for “24 By Foot” on Kickstarter.com.
