The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library observes Teen Read Week, October 14 through 20, 2013 at all locations! New this year, stop into your neighborhood branch and “pin” your favorite read for Teen Read Week on Pinterest! Watch for a new Pinterest page based on your suggestions at our Library’s Pinterest page!

Visit any of your favorite library locations to push the limits of your imagination. Be sure to check out special Teen Read Week programs at the following branch libraries:
•The Amazing Race - Library Style
Kent Branch / Tuesday, October 15, 4 - 5 p.m.
Travel through the Library and complete your passport! Everyone who can make it through the Amazing Race will receive a prize and a celebratory snack! Look forward to high-paced fun!
•DIY Zombie Survival Kit
Heatherdowns Branch / Tuesday, October 15, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
You never know when the dead-and-buried will return and attempt to make a snack of your brain! Have a great time protecting yourself from the walking dead by creating a Zombie Survival Kit.
•Teen Brain Teasers
Maumee Branch, during regular hours
Match Authors to their “Spooky Titles” and submit an entry. A winner will be drawn from all entries with the most correct answers.
•Do You Know the Phobia?
Oregon Branch, during regular hours
Can you guess what you would be afraid of if you had these phobias? Drop in at any time to enter for your chance to win a prize!

Seek the Unknown during Teen Read Week. Stop in to check out featured books, pick up challenging puzzles, and find out which books won the Teen Top Ten this year.
•QR Code Scavenger Hunt
Sanger Branch, during regular hours
Drop in and take our QR Code Scavenger Challenge. Win a prize and be entered to win the Grand Prize, too! An electronic device with a QR code scanner is needed. (Download one for free from your app store!)
