Hispanic Heritage Month comes into focus Oct. 5 at the LPLS South Lorain Branch

Celebrate Latino heritage with Lorain Public Library System’s (LPLS) South Lorain Branch Library. Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.  It pays tribute to the generations of Latino-Americans who have positively influenced and enriched the nation.

A great afternoon with music, treats and friends is planned for Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at the LPLS South Lorain Branch.  The bash lasts from 2-4 p.m., rain or shine.  The South Lorain Branch Library is located at 2121 Homewood Drive, Lorain.

The Upfront Band, featuring Charlie Sánchez, will perform. Scoops & More will be serving up tasty treats.  Enjoy some ice cream during the show. The library’s loveable mascot, Browser®, can’t resist a good party and will be there, claro que si.

For more information, call the South Lorain Branch Library at 440-277-5672.
