Henry Ford Community College’s student-athletes honored
Aug. 30, 2013, Dearborn, Mich. — Thirteen student-athletes at Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) recently earned honors for academic excellence.
The following student-athletes have received athletic scholarships to four-year institutions:
- Charisse Carr, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (women’s basketball);
- Dejanique Reddix, the University of Charleston in Charleston, WV (women’s basketball);
- Matt Priebe, Davenport University in Grand Rapids (baseball);
- Cody Greear, Davenport University in Grand Rapids (baseball); and
- Dan Mueller, Siena Heights University in Adrian, Mich. (baseball).
In addition, the following student-athletes received the National Junior College Athletic Association Award (NJCAA) Award for Exemplary Academic Excellence:
- Andrew Jeter (baseball); and
- Benjamin Staley (baseball).
HFCC student-athletes named to the Academic All-Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) are
- Samantha Carter (volleyball);
- Andrew Jeter (baseball);
- Dan Mueller (baseball);
- Benjamin Staley (baseball);
- Jenna Tarolli (volleyball); and
- Mark Tooley (baseball).
The following student-athletes were also named Academic All-Conference:
- Andrew Barber (baseball);
- Allen Garza (baseball); and
- Brent Marzion (baseball).
“The HFCC tradition of producing strong athletes and scholars continues, and we couldn't be prouder that their hard work has been recognized,” said HFCC Athletic Director Rochelle Taylor.
