Explore with Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library every Monday at 2 p.m. The Explorers program runs through July. STORY TIME AT THE BEACH
Grab your beach towel and head to Lakeview Park (1800 W. Erie Ave.) for story time at the beach. Lorain Public Library System presents Sand in Your Toes Story Time Tuesday, June 18 at 1 p.m. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to come for stories, songs and fun in the sun. TEEN DRAMA CLUB REHEARSALS
Rehearsals are starting for Lorain Public Library’s Teen Drama Club at the Main Library. Rehearsals are every Wednesday through July 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. Sixth through 12th graders are invited. The group will work on a presentation of classic tales for younger kids. BOOK BUDDIES
Polish your reading skills this summer with a buddy. Book Buddies at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library pairs middle and high school students with early readers. Little Buddies are needed to read and play games with teens. AARON BONK
Bring the whole family to witness an outrageous performer. Aaron Bonk will entertain all ages at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library on Thursday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. Bonk is an object manipulation specialist who will have you on the edge of your seat as you watch his cutting-edge juggling performance. This astounding performer will also have you laughing with his twisted sense of humor. Come see what all the hype is about. THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD: THE LORAIN COUNTY CONNECTION
Stop 100 on the Underground Railroad was in Lorain along the Black River. Come to Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. to hear more about Lorain County’s Connection to the Underground Railroad. During this local history program, you will be able to view photos and hear stories of abolitionist activities that happened in the years before the Civil War. CIVIL WAR PROGRAM
Walk in the boots of Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War at Lorain Public Library System’s Main Library on Saturday, June 29 at 2 p.m. During this history program, a re-enactor will describe Gen.
