Motown Custom Cycles has been a fixture on the near West Side Michigan Avenue area for 30 years, and a cultural fixture in the “Kustom Kulture” sense as the custom work here borders on high art, while still geared for performance, owner Dave “Easy” Arzola has helped to invigorate the Michigan Ave Strip with his iconic performance shop, which celebrates the oasis of businesses just west of I 96.
The former chairman on the board of the MABA Michigan Avenue Business Association, is prominently portrayed in the late artist; Mike Kelley’s Mobile Homestead film documenting the recreated artist’s home’s trip from Westland to it’s current location at MoCAD in Detroit. Arzola has volunteered many committees throughout the years to try to revive the city and provide a safe and clean environment for people to shop, and fought for better services for the merchants on Michigan Avenue.
Motown custom cycles is a family owned and operated Harley Davidson specialist shop which offers a full fabricating, customization, chroming, custom paint, powder coating and design, engine repair, transmissions, full machine shop and offers services on everything from an oil change to full restoration
