Angi González
Anchor/Reporter for WNWO

Angi González comes to WNWO from WHAG in Hagerstown, Maryland, where she spent almost six years working in a variety of roles, including anchoring the 6, 7 and 11 p.m. news shows. She also served as morning anchor and a green reporter.

Angi started her on-air news career in December of 2005, but has also worked behind the scenes at WTTG-FOX 5 and WLAJ in Lansing, Michigan.

She worked as a press advance representative for both the White House and Department of Labor. During President George W. Bush’s 2004 campaign, Angi would travel across the country as part of an advance team that planned and organized press coverage for the former president’s official and political events. She also helped organize press coverage of Bush’s Inaugural Parade in 2005.

She holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and Bachelors in Communications from the University of Michigan. She loves both Michigan and Oho and has recently signed on for another 3 years with WNWO. Her mother hails from Hidalgo, México.

Angi informed Las Prensa that “she looks forward to being a part of the MidWest LatinoFest and is proud of her Latina heritage.
