Tercer Almuerzo Anual de TMC y Colaboradores

Fremont OH: El pasado 15 de marzo del 2013, la organización de Enseñanza y Tutoría para las Comunidades Migratorias y de Temporada Head Start (TMC por sus siglas en inglés) llevó a cabo su tercera reunión anual con sus asociados comunitarios.
El objetivo de la misma fue actualizar a dichas organizaciones, que trabajan en conjunto directa o indirectamente con TMC, de los progresos logrados durante el pasado año, al igual que establecer objetivos para el futuro.
Durante este almuerzo se encontraron presentes representantes de dicha organización a nivel nacional, tales como Mary Capello, CEO de TMC, Cleo Rodríguez, Jr, director ejecutivo de la Asociacion Nacional para Migrantes y de Temporada Head Start (National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association). A nivel local se encontraban Richard Langford, administrador regional y Dan Liskai presidente de la junta directiva; al igual que el personal de apoyo de dicha institución, quienes fueron los que se encargaron de la puesta del evento.
Entre los invitados y representantes de otras organizaciones se encontraban Eugenio Mollo, de ABLE, Betty Hernández Bonwell, de LC Job and Family Services, Francisco Espinoza, de Farmworker Agencies Liaison Communication and Outreach Network (FALCON), y Benito Lucio de Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Espinoza y Lucio además dieron una presentación durante el almuerzo.
Concluyendo con la lista de presentantes, el Dr. José Salinas, director ejecutivo de OMEC habló de la importancia de la educación temprana. El presentó no solo su visión profesional sino también su punto personal y como padre de niños que atendieron el programa de Head Start en el pasado. El Dr. Salinas también habló de la importante colaboración establecida entre ambas organizaciones.
Richard Langford cerró el encuentro agradeciendo a los presentes, y los incentivó a continuar el apoyo a los esfuerzos de TMC.

3rd Annual TMC Community Partnership Luncheon
Fremont: On Friday, March 15, 2013, the Teaching and Mentoring Communities (TMC) Migrant and Seasonal Head Start celebrated its 3rd Annual Community Partnership Luncheon.
The purpose of this event is to give an overview of the past year’s achievements and goals for the future.
National representatives attended the luncheon, such as Mary Capello, TMC CEO, and Cleo Rodríguez, Jr, executive director, National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association. Represents from the area were Richard Langford, regional administrator and Dan Liskai board chair; as well as the support staff who put together the logistics of the event.
Among the guests and on behalf of partner institutions were: Eugenio Mollo (ABLE), Betty Hernández Bonwell (Lucas County Job and Family Services), Francisco Espinoza (Farmworker Agencies Liaison Communication and Outreach Network, FALCON), and Benito Lucio (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services). Espinoza and Lucio gave a presentation at lunch time.
Closing the list of presenters was Dr. José Salinas (Ohio Migrant Education Center (OMEC) executive director), who stressed the importance of early education. He did not only give his professional point of view but his personal vision, especially as a father of children who attended Head Start in the past. Dr. Salinas also talked about the significance of the collaboration between both organizations, TMC and OMEC.
Richard Langford gave closure to the event thanking the attendees and encouraged everyone to continue their support to TMC.
