PRIZM co-sponsors Poetry Speaks event Feb. 18

PRIZM Creative Community in collaboration with Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and the University of Toledo English Department and College of Languages, Literature and Social Sciences are sponsoring “Poetry Speaks,” at the Toledo Lucas County Main Library on Monday evening February the 18^th, 2013 from  6-8 p.m.  The program will be held in the 1^st floor Huntington Meeting Room.

Featured will be: two-time World Poetry Slam Champion, Buddy Wakefield, who has been featured on NPR, the BBC, and HBO’s Def Poetry Jam. Wakefield has published poetry collections most recently “Gentleman Practice and Live for a Living.”  

 
Also featured during the evening will be the following regional poets: Zach Fishel, Tara Armstrong, Bob Phillips, Imani Lateef, and Ryan Bunch.
