Simposio Mujeres del Mundo (Women of the World Symposium-W.O.W.)
En conmemoración por el Día Internacional de la Mujer, que se festeja todos los 8 de marzo, pero que se extiende al mes entero, un conjunto de organizaciones del área de Toledo está presentando su primer Women of the World Symposium, W.O.W., que por sus siglas en inglés se traduce a Mujeres del Mundo.
Este Simposio se estará llevando a cabo en el edificio de Scott Park de la Universidad de Toledo, el 30 de marzo del 2013, de 9 de la mañana a las 3 de la tarde. Su objetivo es ofrecer una jornada educativa sin costo con talleres que informarán acerca de planeamiento financiero, preguntas a la ginecóloga, movimiento y danza, curación a base de hierbas, incluyendo un panel de mujeres internacionales y de diferentes grupos étnicos, y mucho más.
El comité organizador está compuesto por El Centro de la Mujer, Nirvana Now, el Centro para la Mujer Eberly Center, Y.W.C.A. y el Centro Hope, la librería Personas llamadas Mujeres (por su traducción People called Women), el Departamento de Estudios de la Mujer y Género (Women’s and Gender Studies) de la Universidad de Toledo y la Alianza Nacional de Salud Mental de Toledo (NAMI) y American Association of University Women de Toledo (AAUW).

Women of the Wolrd Symposium – W.O.W.

Commemorating the International Women’s day, which is celebrated every March 8th, but extended to the entire month; a group of women oriented organizations from the Toledo, Ohio area is presenting their First Annual Women of the World Symposium, W.O.W.
The Symposium will take place at the University of Toledo Scott Park building on March 30, 2013 from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
The goal of this event is to offer to women a free and educational day with workshops related to financial planning, questions to gynecologist, movement and dance, herbal healing, including a panel of international women and more.
The organizers are: Nirvana Now, El Centro de la Mujer, The Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women (ECW) from University of Toledo , Y.W.C.A. and the Hope Center, People Called Women, the Women’s and Gender Studies Department from the University of Toledo, the AAUW Toledo branch, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Greater Toledo.
