Tour the New University Partnership Ridge Campus of LCCC at an Open House January 17

The University Partnership Ridge Campus (UPRC) of Lorain County Community College in North Ridgeville will open for spring semester in January.

Learn about what’s available at the UPRC by attending an open house from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013. At the open house, you will have the opportunity to: 

         • Meet the faculty of UPRC;
         • Talk with advisors about your academic and career plans;
         • Schedule spring classes that begin February 25;
         • Tour the first floor and lab areas;
         • Enjoy refreshments.

Courses at the UPRC will begin Monday, January 7 for students in The University of Toledo’s Computer Science and Engineering program through LCCC’s University Partnership. A 10-week session of LCCC classes will begin on Monday, February 25.

UPRC will offer bachelor and associate degree programs, as well as certificate programs. Two University Partnership programs will be located at UPRC - The University of Toledo’s Computer Science and Engineering bachelor degree and The University of Akron’s Computer Information Systems bachelor degree.

The UPRC will include a Patient Simulation Learning Center for Allied Health and Nursing programs, and a new associate degree program in Health Information Technology.  Other programs that will be offered at the UPRC include business and IT certificates and degrees, and the digital forensics and computer application integration specialist programs. Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees may also be completed at the UPRC.

UPRC is conveniently located in North Ridgeville on Lorain Road adjacent to the Interstate 480 east entrance ramp.

Registration for courses at the UPRC can be completed in person in the Bass Community Library and Resource Center on LCCC’s main campus in Elyria. Beginning on Monday, January 7, students can apply, take assessments and register for courses in person at the UPRC facility.
