Library classes offered on using downloadable media

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is offering a variety of classes that are FREE and open to the public at Main Library, 325 Michigan St., for those interested in learning more about using downloadable media with mobile apps. Registration is required for these classes which kick off in December of this year, and run through the end of January 2013:

Downloadables for the Kindle: Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, 6:30 – 8 p.m.

All ages welcome
Are you the proud owner of a Kindle eReader? Are you curious about how to use the free Library eBooks? Featuring a demonstration on a Kindle eReader, this class will guide you through finding Kindle eBooks, checking out, and downloading to your device. Although not required, it is recommended that you bring your Kindle and a laptop to follow along! Registration is required.

Using Downloadable Media with Mobile Apps: Wednesday, Dec. 26, 3:30 – 5 p.m.

The Library's downloadable media collection can be enjoyed on many mobile devices, such as the iPad, iPhone, and Android devices. Featuring a demonstration of the OverDrive Media Console mobile app, this class will guide you through navigating the downloadable media collection, checking out and downloading to a device. Bring your compatible mobile device and follow along! Registration is required.

Do you want to take a look at a Library book on your Nook? This class will get you hooked - on free eBooks from the Library! Featuring a demonstration with a Nook, this class will guide you through finding downloadable titles, checking out, and downloading to your device. Although not required, it is recommended that you bring your Nook and a laptop to follow along! Registration is required.
