Lenawee Intermediate School District implements new program
The Lenawee Intermediate School District has implemented a NEW program, College Now, Spring 2012, that provides increased dual enrollment opportunities for LISD TECH Center students at NO COST to the enrolled student, their family or their local district.
Students must be enrolled in a LISD TECH Center Career Technical Education (CTE) Program; they must take a college placement course placement test; eligible students and their parents must attend a College Now program orientation; they must qualify to take a 100-level course and students must be “soft skilled” licensed to ensure they are ready to face the challenges of college coursework.

The college courses students take will apply directly to an associate’s degree aligned with the student’s Educational Development Plan (EDP) and Career Pathway.
To date, the total spent on College Now tuition and books for the Spring 2012 and Fall 2012 semesters is $88,671 - an incredible savings for students and their families. This represents 475 college credits earned by 65 students. http://twitter.com/LenaweeISD
