This July 30 to August 6, 2012, the Wood County Fair continues its tradition as one of the top fairs in the state of Ohio with another exciting week of special events, competitions and entertainment. This year, the fair features Grammy, ACM, CMA and AMA Award winner Gretchen Wilson on Saturday, August 4. 

Wilson’s first single, “Redneck Woman,” spent six weeks at #1; her debut album, Here For The Party, sold more than five million copies; and she toured to large and raucous crowds around the world. Her second CD, All Jacked Up, rode enthusiastic reviews to platinum status as Gretchen’s accomplishments continued to stack up. Her third, One of the Boys, solidified her position as one of contemporary country's most original and multifaceted female artists, a woman in whom ambition and ability come together in every aspect of her career.
 

The 2012 Wood County Fair at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green, Ohio, will be open from Monday, July 30 to Thursday, August 2 (and Sunday, August 5) from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to Midnight; and Monday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Reserved seat tickets for Gretchen Wilson are on sale now at woodcounty-fair.com or by calling 419-352-0441. Track seats are $25; grandstand seats are $20. Show begins at 8:00 p.m. Young, local talent Conner Rose will open the show for Wilson.
