Main Library joins ACGT’s SoundTrek as a music venue site, July 20

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library partners with the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo (ACGT) for its downtown SoundTrek 2012, scheduled to take place in the UpTown Arts & Entertainment District along the Adams Street Corridor from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012.

SoundTrek is the Arts Commission’s latest addition to the Live Work Create Toledo initiative. The program is designed to celebrate Toledo's rich legacy as a live music town. Featuring a wide variety of local musicians and DJs, as well as premier downtown live music and dance venues,

SoundTrek offers visitors the opportunity to experience a cross-section of the live entertainment available in Toledo in a single evening. For the price of one wristband, guests get access to multiple live music venues, 30-plus musicians and bands, and shuttle rides between stops.

SoundTrek features the outdoor north lawn of Main Library, at 325 Michigan St., as a music venue site. (See schedule below)

This year’s event features 11 diverse local venues on the Adams Street Corridor. More than 30 local, live music acts will perform, representing genres from rock, pop, and hip-hop, to country, blues, jazz, folk and ethnic, and R&B.
