Among the more than 100 schools where students have been accepted are: the Georgia Institute of Technology, Purdue University, University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Boston College, Marquette University, Georgetown University, Ohio State University, University of Toledo, Miami University, and the University of Chicago. One student has been appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Academic and athletic scholarships and grants totaling nearly $15 million were awarded to 132 students of the graduating class. Two hundred seventy-two Advanced Placement Examinations were taken in 19 subject areas by 94 students. One student is a National Merit Finalist and two students are National Merit Commended Scholars.
There are 78 seniors who have been recognized as All-Academic Athletes having earned at least a 3.0 grade point average and a varsity letter in a sport; many of them play more than one varsity sport. The class has 47 Honor Students and 33 seniors are members of the National Honor Society.
The class of 2012 has contributed more than 15,300 hours in community service to 115 local organizations, in Appalachia, and in Omaha, Nebraska. Each student has completed at least 100 hours of community service.

John Antoszewski is the son of Ms. Angela Durán. He plans to attend Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti and received an Educational First Opportunity award.
Jonah Bae is the son of Jong and Heather Bae. He plans to attend John Carroll University. Bae was awarded an Academic Scholarship, the Ignatian Mission Award and a Tuition Exchange Scholarship.
Dakota Grodi is the son of Troy and Victoria Grodi. He plans to attend Eastern Michigan University and received an Emerald Scholarship. Grodi graduated with honors.
Xavier Hernández is the son of Tanya Hernández and John Hernández. He plans to attend the University of Toledo and received a Rocket Scholars Award.
Kevin Kapela is the son of James and Elizabeth Kapela. He plans to attend the University of Toledo and received a Rocket Scholars Award. Kapela was an Academic-Athlete in Football.
Hipolito Pecina Jr. is the son of Hipolito and Bobbie Pecina. He plans to attend the University of Toledo and received a Rocket Scholars Award.
Antonia Ruiz-Krause is the son of Robert and Diana Krause. He plans to attend the University of Toledo.
Nicholas Sepeda is the son of Micaela Luna and Peter Sepeda. He plans to attend the University of Toledo and received a Rocket Scholars Award.
Andrew Villolovos is the son of Charles and Moli Villolovos. He plans to attend Notre Dame College of Ohio. He received an Achieve Scholarship and an Athletic Recognition Award. Villolovos will compete in Football at the collegiate level.
Christopher Wilton is the son of David Wilton. He plans to attend the University of Toledo and received a Rocket Scholars Award.
