La Prensa Exclusive: Obama for America-Ohio announces members of Ohio Latino Leadership Council

COLUMBUS, May 9, 2012: President Barack Obama’s Ohio campaign for re-election today announced to La Prensa Correspondent Alan Abrams an initial list of members that will comprise its Ohio Latino Leadership Council.
 

According to Jessica Kershaw, Press Secretary, Obama for America - Ohio the “Ohio Latino Leadership Council for President Obama’s re-election is comprised of a group of highly respected members of the Latino community who have a range of knowledge and expertise in various areas and professions. 

“The Council will serve as a vehicle to communicate the messages of the campaign within the Latino community by acting as surrogates and validators of the President’s message.

“The Council will also act as an advisory group to the campaign in providing information and insight about Latino Affairs and will continue to grow throughout the next six months.”

Isabel Framer, one of the founding members of the first Latino Leadership Council in 2008 and who is a leading member of this year’s Council said, “We as a Council to re-elect President Obama will be conducting Latino outreach throughout the state. We will work on putting together rallies, phone banking sessions and canvassing in our regions. And we will be providing advice and suggestions on matters that pertain directly to the Latino Community.”
