Durante el evento, los niños escucharon historias, realizaron manualidades y arte y compartieron un momento dedicado a la literatura.
El Día del Niño es un día dedicado a honorar a los niños del mundo. En este día se promueven actividades para la promoción del bienestar de ellos y de sus derechos.
En el año 1996, la autora de libros de niños Pat Mora, nacida en Texas y quien es reconocida nacionalmente, promovió la idea de añadir a este día la celebración de los libros. Dado que lo que se promueve es el bienestar de los niños, incluir la importancia de la literatura estaba altamente conectado.
April 30th, Day of the Children/Day of the Books

In celebration of the Day of the Children and the Day of the Books, Andreanna Rivera-Pérez, sponsored an event for the children who attended the activities at El Centro de la Mujer with their mothers The children listened to story time, worked on arts and crafts, and shared time with books.
The Day of the Children (Día del Niño) is dedicated to honor children around the world. This day, also promotes their well being and supports their rights.
In 1996, Pat Mora, a native form Texas and author of children’s books, nationally recognized, promoted the idea of adding the Day of the Books to the celebration. She believed that if this day emphasizes in children’s well being, literature/reading should be included.
