Get set and go -- to the Zoo! The eighth annual 5K race/walk and 1K Kids’ Fun Run tracks through and around the Zoo. Pre-registration for the race is strongly encouraged. Presented by Mercy Children’s Hospital; additional support provided by Dave’s Running Shop and McDonald’s.

Our dynamic new elephant facility, Tembo Trail, blends extraordinary elephant care with extraordinary visitor experiences. But Tembo Trail is more than elephants; it’s a whole new look and feel to the area you’ve known as the African Savanna. The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (starting May 5, weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The Zoo is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo.
