Multi-faith groups host workshop on Spiritual and Emotional Care in Disasters

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo, the Ohio Council of Churches, Toledo Area Ministries, and Ohio VOAD are sponsoring a free workshop on Spiritual and Emotional Care in Disasters. The workshop will be 2 to 4 p.m. March 2, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Toledo. The event will cover basic tools for working with people impacted by disasters and for assisting with survivor recovery.

The speaker for the workshop will be Sr. Michael Marie, disaster services coordinator for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. Sr. Michael Marie has worked in disaster relief and social aid for 14 years and is an active member of Ohio Volunteer Organizations Active in a Disaster (Ohio VOAD).
