El Festival South of the Border todo un éxito

El pasado viernes 12 de agosto y el sábado 13, tomo lugar el Festival South of the Border en Perrysburg, Ohio.

 

El Festival atrajo visitantes de todo la zona del Medio Oeste, ofreciendo entretenimiento musical, juegos y deliciosas comidas. Cada vez este evento se convierte en un encuentro familiar donde todos tienen la oportunidad de experimentar y conocer la cultura latina.

 

Este año entre otros músicos se presentó el grupo local Rubén Ramos y La Familia que invitó a los concurrentes a bailar en las primeras horas de la tarde. Para completar las presentaciones musicales, Rubén Ramos, El Gato Negro, cerró la noche con su tradicional estilo de música tejana.

 

Los fondos recaudados del Festival South of the Border son dirigidos a la Asociación Comunitaria de Perrysburg Heights (Perrysburg Heights Community Association) la cual es una organización sin fines de lucro que ofrece programas gratuitos a todos aquellos que participan.

Last Friday, August 12 and Saturday August 13, 2011, it took place the South of the Border Festival in Perrysburg, Ohio.

 

In its 17th year, the Festival attracted visitors from all over the Midwest region, offering entertainment, games and delicious food. The event always turns into a family event, where everyone has the opportunity to experience and learn about the Latino culture, especially Tejano.

 

This year, among other musicians, the local group La Familia invited attendees to dance in the early hours of the afternoon. It’s leader is another Rubén Ramos, but Rubén Ramos from Toledo. To conclude the presentations, Texan Rubén Ramos, El Gato Negro, closed the event with his traditional style of Tejano music.

 

The proceeds from South of the Border Festival go to Perrysburg Heights Community Association, which is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization offering free programming for everyone who participates.
