LCCC to hold auditions for ‘The Trojan Women’
The Lorain County Community College Theatre department announces auditions for Euripides’ “The Trojan Women” to be directed by Dave Cotton.
Auditions will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011 and Wednesday, September 7 in the Stocker Arts Center Studio Theatre. Production dates are November 3-5. Auditions are open to all students and community members.
Candidates for auditions should bring a theatrical résumé with a headshot, if possible. Photos will be taken for those who do not have a headshot. Please come prepared for simple movement exercises. Please bring a listing of all conflicts from September 8 to November 5.
Those who wish to be considered for a principle role must come prepared to present a dramatic monologue not to exceed two minutes in length. The production will be the Edith Hamilton translation of the play. It is not necessary to prepare a monologue from this play for the audition, but it must be dramatic and fully memorized to maximize the dramatic impact of presentation.
