Diamante Awards to be handed out Sept. 23

Leaders in the northwest Ohio Latino community will be recognized Sept. 23, 2011 during the 22nd annual Diamante Awards at Bowling Green State University. Each year, a deserving youth, adult, professional, corporation/community agency and “friend of the Latino community” are honored.

The Diamante Awards Committee is made up of representatives from Bowling Green State University, the University of Toledo, Owens Community College, and Lourdes University, along with Margarita De León and María González.

The event starts at 6 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Lenhart Grand Ballroom.

Tickets are $75 per person and $125 per couple. Prices increase $10 at the door. Student tickets are available for $25 per person in advance or on the event date.
