Play ball with SAO and La Prensa, to raise scholarship funds
The 9th Annual Latino Heritage Night with the Toledo Mud Hens, scheduled for Sunday, July 17, 2011, honors scholarship, Latino culture through music and dance, sports, and more particularly the Toledo Mud Hens and community.
The game begins at 6:00PM but the folkloric dance group, El Corazón de México, and mariachi will be on hand at the Home Plate entrance at Washington and Huron Streets in downtown Toledo, starting with Latino dance and music beginning 4:45PM. The entertainment is courtesy of the Toledo Mud Hens and El Camino Real restaurants.
Scholarship presentations by the Spanish American Organization and La Prensa, which have been promoting the annual event, take place on the field at approximately 5:30PM, followed by first pitches, and Yvonne Ramos singing the national anthem.
