Engineer Daniel Mastretta - México was represented at the SAE World Congress
México participated in the 2011 edition of SAE World Congress (Society of Automotive Engineers), which took place from April 12th to 14th 2011 at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan .
In the last 10 years, México had a pavilion in the SAE exhibition and in this occasion with a special interest, the presence of Engineer Daniel Mastretta, the creator of the first Mexican automobile, fully designed and developed by Mexican engineers.
Mastretta is the president and CEO of Technoidea, where in collaboration with his brother Carlos Mastretta, has been involved in the design and development of the vehicle: the Mastretta MXT, a small sport car that is planned to start production this year. This will mark an important milestone in the Mexican automotive industry.
During the reception sponsored by ProMéxico - Inversión y Comercio, APROMEX , TechBA – Michigan, México, Consejo de Promoción Turística and Consulate General of México that took place the week of the SAE World Congress at the restaurant Loco Bar & Grill in Detroit, MI, Mastretta told La Prensa, “This is a dream that my brother and I have since we were children.”Mastretta expressed that he was overwhelmed by the welcoming response of his community in Michigan. He said he is looking forward to the future relationship with the auto industry in the U.S. and the possibility of being part of the International Auto Show 2012 in Detroit.

Ingeniero Daniel Mastretta - México tuvo representación en el Congreso Mundial SAE
México participó del Congreso Mundial SAE (Sociedad de Ingenieros Automotriz) 2011, el cual se llevó a cabo del 12 al 14 de abril de 2011 en el Cobo Center en Detroit, Michigan.
Durante los últimos diez años, México ocupó una posición en la exhibición de SAE y en esta ocasión con un interés especial, la presencia del ingeniero Carlos Mastretta, el creador del primer automóvil mexicano, diseñado y desarrollado por ingenieros mexicanos.
El ingeniero Mastretta es el presidente y director ejecutivo de Technoidea, donde en colaboración con su hermano, Carlos Mastretta han estado envueltos en el diseño y desarrollo del vehículo: Mastretta MXT, un pequeño auto deportivo, del cual comenzará la producción este año. Esto marcará un hito importante en la industria automotriz mexicana.
Durante la recepción patrocinada por ProMéxico-Inversión y Comercio, APROMEX, TechBA-Michigan, México, el Consejo de Promoción Turística y el Consulado General de México, que se realizó durante la semana del Congreso Mundial SAE en el restaurante Loco Bar & Grill de Detroit, el Sr. Mastretta dijo a La Prensa que “este es un sueño que mi hermano y yo teníamos desde niños”.
Mastretta expresó que estaba abrumado por la respuesta y recibimiento de su comunidad en Michigan. Dijo también, que está mirando la posibilidad en el 2012 de ser parte del Show Internacional del Automóvil en Detroit y a su vez también fortalecer la relación con la industria automotriz estadounidense.
