Submit your art to be juried for 2011 Kids’ Art Fair
At the Townie Street Party, July 18, 2011, 5:00-9:30pm
The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair is calling young artists from Washtenaw County in 3rd – 8th grade to submit their artwork to be juried for the 2011 Kids’ Art Fair held at the Townie Street Party – the kick-off event for the Art Fair.
Jury Sessions: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 5-8pm or SUNDAY, APRIL 17, 2:30-5:30pm
The Kids’ Art Fair is a unique opportunity for young artists to sell their original artwork and interact with the community at the Townie Street Party. In addition, this is a great chance for young artists to see the jury process at work and to interact with nationally recognized Art Jurors. The young artists receive individual attention by each Juror and the positive feedback is often very empowering.
Jurying will take place at the Ann Arbor District Library’s Pittsfield Branch, April 13, 2011, from 5-8pm and Sunday, April 17, 2:30-5:30pm (artists in 3rd – 8th grade should arrive with 4-6 samples of their original artwork and be prepared to talk to Jurors). You need to attend only one of these two sessions. Artists will have ample opportunity to show and discuss their art work with each Juror.
Young artists invited to exhibit at the Kids’ Art Fair, will be notified by email or phone the week following the second jury session. These artists will be able to sell their work under a large tent at the July 18, 5:00-9:30pm Townie Street Party, which takes place on Washington, between Thayer and Fletcher, around the Fountain on Ingalls Mall.
The Ann Arbor District Library, Pittsfield Branch is located at 2359 Oak Valley Drive in Ann Arbor. For more information on this event please call 734-994-5260 or visit www.artfair.org
